A quick guide to our IT systems
Welcome to the University of Skövde! This is a short list for you to get started with the IT systems at the University.
User Account
You need to have an active account in order to be able to register for classes, access course material, download free software et cetera. You can activate your account in either of these ways:
- On the page for online activation
- By using (Swedish) BankID
- With an application form
- By visiting IT Helpdesk. Remember to bring photo ID.
Course sites
All course material is available in the university's learning management system, Canvas. You can log into Canvas from your student portal (Studentportalen). Contact your instructor if you are not able to locate your course in Canvas. More information on Canvas and how to use it.
Connecting to WiFi - eduroam
If you want to use the school wifi, you can use your user account to connect to eduroam. Follow the instructions on our self-service portal HelpIT.
Printing, copying and scanning
You need an active student account to be able to use the printing system. When printing, select printer FollowYou (should be default). Once you've printed, pick up your prints at any printer on campus.
