      Language

The courses are conducted in English.

The course aims at developing the students understanding for how business development can contribute to organizations’ competitiveness in relevant markets. The course rests on a business model perspective, and introduce the students to the notion of business model innovation, as the core of any business development effort. Within the course, we argue that sustainable development requires an understanding of business development, and that new and innovative business models play a crucial role in these processes.

The course introduces theories on business models and business model innovation, and develops students’ abilities of analyzing business development needs in organizations. The course is based on analyzing and discussing real live business cases to get an understanding for how businesses can be developed. The practical context of the course is video game production, introduced to students via several guest lectures with relevant industry guests. The students apply the business model perspective on game projects in a series of seminars, during which they construct and present viable business model plans.
