The aim is to provide basic knowledge of logistics and its role in firms, and its importance to achieve sustainable supply chains. Logistics is based on the flow in and between firms and organisations and include the flow of goods, services, information, and monetary flows. Additionally, logistics is about the control and development of these flows from cradle to cradle including the cooperation between actors. Return flows in supply chains are also considered as these have a vital role for sustainable development.
