How is evolutionary thinking applied in psychology in the study human mind and behavior?
The course covers various topics within evolutionary biology and evolutionary psychology, including, for example, how evolution works, what kind of mechanisms (such as natural selection) affect the course of evolution, what is the current view on the trajectory of human evolution, what is evolutionary psychology as a research paradigm, and how evolutionary thinking is applied in various sub-disciplines of psychology, such as social psychology, cognitive psychology, and clinical psychology, to explain psychological properties and behaviours of humans.
This course is directed to national as well as international students (both from EU/EEA and countries outside EU/EEA).
