This week we welcome new international students to the spring semester at the University of Skövde. The students come mostly from Asia, the USA and Europe.
On Wednesday, about 25 of the new international students had come to the University of Skövde for the first intro days. Wednesday's schedule included introduction with useful information, speeches from the Student Union and Skövde Municipality, a joint lunch in the restaurant Götasalen and the traditional guided bus tour around Skövde.
– It seems like the bus ride was appreciated. It was nice to come outside for a while even though it was a bit chilly, says Erika Eriksson Hjelm, study informant and coordinator of the international intro.
During the rest of the week, more practical information, lessons about Sweden and Swedish student culture await, as well as a guided tour around campus. On Monday, the spring semester begins and all 60 new international students are expected to have arrived.
