Recently, the University of Skövde welcomed a visit from representatives from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in India. VIT has about 30 000 students and is a high ranked university in India. The visit was made within the Linneaus-Palme programme, which is financed by SIDA. The purpose was to deepen the cooperation which was initiated four years ago when representatives from the University of Skövde visited VIT.

During the visit, VIT representatives met with staff from the School of Engineering Science, the School of Informatics, the School of Bioscience and the University’s International Office to discuss future collaborations of different timespans. A cooperation agreement between the two universities was signed during the visit.
The VIT repsesentatives also got to visit ASSAR Industrial Innovation Arena and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the building Portalen. They also got to visit the historical village Varnhem, just outside Skövde.
