Together with nine other universities in nine countries, the University of Skövde will form a new European university.
In March 2022, the University of Skövde submitted an application to form a new European university with the support of the EU programme Erasmus+. The application was made together with nine other European universities within the so called INGENIUM alliance. On 27 July 2022, the European Commission announced that it was granting the higher education institutions' application.
- This is a very positive message for the University of Skövde and our region. INGENIUM will strengthen us and give us the opportunity to position both our education and our research on an international arena, says Mikael Ejdebäck who is deputy vice-chancellor for internationalization at the University of Skövde.
