      Admission Requirements

      Entry requirements for this course are the following attended courses: BI760A Bioinformatics Concepts and Methods A1N and BI121G Bioinformatic Analysis with Python 1 G1N (or the equivalent). A further requirement is proof of skills in English equivalent of studies at upper secondary level in Sweden, known as English course 6. This is normally demonstrated by means of an internationally recognized test, e.g. IELTS or TOEFL or the equivalent.

      The courses are conducted in English.

      The course deals with the current research in bioinformatics and addresses the issue of how research and development is done. In seminar series, students will discuss the research process, research methods, scientific writing, as well as ethical issues connected to bioinformatics. The course will also enable students to train critical reviewing of scientific papers in bioinformatics, and also to write a project proposal. The course is preparing the students for dissertation, but it is also suitable for students with interest in bioinformatics.
