      Smart Industry Sweden

      Smart Industry Sweden

To keep up with the changes in industry brought on by digitalisation, new knowledge, inspiration, and innovation are essential. The path forward lies in the development of companies' specialised expertise. Five Swedish universities have joined forces to launch an industrial research school in the field of smart industry. Here, the future key players in the Swedish industry will be educated.

With its small population, Sweden is a relatively small country, and to remain globally competitive, we must invest. This applies to all parts of society. The industrial research school will bring together a unique group of experts from both industry and academia – together, we will lead Swedish industry forward.

This is an important initiative to meet the needs of Swedish industry for specialised expertise and to prepare employees for specialist positions. It will create valuable networks for participating companies, both within academia and between the participating companies. Together, we are strengthening our competitiveness and capacity for innovation.

The research school’s vision and goals:

      • A joint initiative within the field of smart industry in Sweden
      • An industrial research school with close collaboration between industry and academia
      • Creating new networks between participating companies, universities, and regions
      • Laying the foundation for new collaborations
      • Developing and establishing researchers within production to strengthen future industrial competitiveness
