TOCSYC is a research environment that combines four Swedish groups in software testing research to advance the knowledge of testing critical characteristics of complex embedded systems. The characteristics that TOCSYC address are performance efficiency, robustness and testability.
The overall goal of TOCSYC is to enable and support cost-effective testing for critical characteristics in embedded systems by providing Swedish industry with new and improved tools and techniques for efficient and effective testing as well as the decision-support procedures necessary to select the right testing tools or techniques for their context. There are five different directions of the research within TOCSYC and Skövde is contributing to three of these directions, mutation-based testing, model-based testing and testability.
