SSRG has contributed to a study on the use of Open Source in the Swedish state administration (‘Internationell utblick: Öppen Programvara inom Statsförvaltningen’) which has been undertaken by Ramböll commissioned by the Government Office, Ministry of trade (‘Regeringskansliet, Näringsdepartementet’). The study highlights a number of issues, including a widespread lock-in and the importance of competence development concerning open source and open standards (https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/sites/default/files/news/attachment/ramboll_rapport_slutversion_-_internationell_utblick_oppen_programvara_31_mars_2016_pdf.pdf). The study was finalised on 31 March 2016 and later recognised in a news article published by Joinup, a news service provided by the European Commission (
